A timeless kitchen staple that brings a little sunshine to every bite.

Fun Facts:
Strawberries are the only fruit with seeds on the outside — each berry has about 200 tiny seeds on its surface.
Strawberries aren’t technically berries at all! They’re classified as “aggregate fruits”, while bananas are true berries.
Strawberries are naturally high in pectin, which helps jam thicken without additives.
Homemade strawberry jam is straightforward to prepare and offers flexible storage options, including preservation and freezing.
Strawberry Jam step by step:
Step 1: wash and hull strawberries.

Step 2: Add strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice to a large saucepan.
Step 3: Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the sugar dissolves.
Step 4: Bring to a gentle boil and cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring to prevent sticking.
Step 5: Test thickness by placing a small spoonful on a cold plate—if it wrinkles when pushed, it’s ready.
Step 6: Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Step 7: Pour into clean jars, seal, and refrigerate.

Preserving Instructions:
Wash jars and lids in hot soapy water. Keep jars warm.
Fill jars with hot jam, leaving ¼ inch space at the top.
Wipe rims clean, add lids, and tighten bands finger-tight.
Place jars in boiling water, making sure they’re fully covered.
Boil for 10 minutes.
Remove jars and let cool 12–24 hours.
Check seals, label, and store in a cool, dark place.
Tips:
You can also freeze strawberry jam, it can stay good for quite a long time—typically up to about 12 – 18 months if it’s stored properly in an airtight, freezer-safe container at consistent freezing temperatures. Quality (texture and flavor) is usually best within the first year.
Ingredient Notes:
Strawberries
Fresh, ripe strawberries bring natural sweetness, vibrant color, and a juicy texture to the jam. They are the star ingredient, providing that classic fruity flavor everyone loves.
Sugar
Sugar sweetens the jam while also helping it thicken and preserve. It balances the natural tartness of the strawberries and gives the jam its smooth, spreadable consistency.
Lemon Juice
Lemon juice adds a touch of brightness and helps enhance the strawberry flavor. Its natural acidity also activates pectin, allowing the jam to set properly and last longer.
